Bank of England Mortgage Blog

Let’s talk about Life Insurance.

Life insurance is not required when you have a mortgage but, it’s probably a good idea. Many families would have difficulty meeting their obligations if something were to happen to one of the parents. Even if that parent is a non-wage earner, the added stress placed on the wage earner could make it very difficult for them to continue earning at the same level they did previously.

Life insurance can help bridge the gap by eliminating monthly obligations (like a monthly mortgage payment). This is not mortgage protection insurance, where the benefit declines over time but, rather a fixed or increasing benefit over time.

At Bank of England Mortgage, we do not sell Life Insurance. We do, however, have great relationships with local insurance agents and we can help you with a referral.
